Born from Rochester, New York, Sharp was immersed in music and was a clarinet player as well as piano and cello at the highly regarded Hochstein School of Music. The Boston Conservatory offered her a grant for her theatre classes at her school. Cum Laude graduated with a B.F.A. in the Conservatory, Sharp set her goals for the stage. Sharp appeared in the Broadway National Tour of Carousel as well as debuted Off Broadway in Michael Bradford's Living in the Wind. In the interactive comedy Eat the Runt, she played eight characters. Sharp has also performed in Abyssinia and Aida as well as Thunder Knockin Jitney as well as The Producers. She was even a reading partner of August Wilson's Come and Gone. Sharp also has other projects in the works, in addition to the projects for stage and screen. She continues to sing, and has a full-length album that is in development.
