Salma Hayek

SalmaSalma Hayek Pinault (born Salma Valgarma Hayek Jimmyenezon September 2, 1966)[3][4][5[3][4][5), is an American and Mexican actress. She began her career in Mexico by playing a lead role in the telenovela Teresa (1989-1991) as also in the romantic drama El Callejon de los Milagros (1995) and for which she was awarded an Ariel Award nomination. She quickly made herself known in Hollywood with appearances in films such as Desperado (1995), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999) and Dogma (1999). Hayek's role as Frida Kahlo painting artist in Frida (2002) the biographical film she wrote and produced, earned her the Academy Award for Best Actress nomination[6]. In addition, she received her Golden Globe Award and Screen Actors Guild Award nominations. Hayek continued to produce as well as starring in action movies like Once Upon a Time in Mexico in the following years.
